
Meet Team Ramos
Crystal LaCount
Chief of Staff
Crystal LaCount (she/her/ella) has been with Team Ramos since the Special Sessions of the 87th Legislature in 2021. She graduated with distinction from Texas State University San Marcos with a MA in History, completing a thesis on "Commemoration, Memorialization, and Mass School Shootings: An Analysis of Collective Memory and Power Structures." Crystal also obtained a BA in History with a minor in Philosophy from the University of Texas RGV. Prior to joining Team Ramos, Crystal taught various history courses at the secondary level for 5 years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her mini-dachshund Gaga, trying new foods, and traveling with her husband.

Patricia Meza
Communications and
Community Outreach Specialist
Patricia Meza joined our office in September of 2022 as our Community Outreach Specialist. She was born in Dallas and studied International Relations and Government at the University of Texas at Austin. While attaining her degrees, she worked abroad at the Ministry of Public Administration in the Dominican Republic, conducted research at the Clark’s Center for Australian and New Zealand Studies, and interned at the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth. She loves traveling, attending reggaetón concerts, and listening to hours of podcasts.

Alexa Murarescu
Legislative Aide
Alexa Murarescu (she/her/ella) recently joined Team Ramos as a Legislative Aide. As a Michigan native, Alexa moved down to Austin to pursue her Master of Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at UT. Alexa spends her free time spoiling her two dogs, Winston and Douglas, with extra walks and snuggles.

Maximillian Gannon
Legislative Aide
Maximilian Gannon (he/him) joined Team Ramos as a Legislative Aide during the 88th Legislative Session. He is a graduate of Virginia Tech with a Political Science degree focused in Legal Studies. Though he grew up hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, he travelled to Austin to pursue a career in the Texas Legislature. With experience working on statewide and local campaigns, he is excited to bring a fresh perspective and creative insights to the team. Max loves to record music with his piano and practice photography in his spare time.

Eleanor Nicholson
Legislative Aide Intern
Eleanor Nicholson (she/her) joined our team during the 88th Legislative Session. She is a student at University of Texas Austin, where she studies Government. When not studying or working, she often volunteers as a reading tutor for elementary students. In her free time, Eleanor loves to spend time reading.

Phillip Abramo
Communications Aide Intern
Phillip Abramo (he/him) joined our office during the 88th Legislative Session. Phillip is a student at the University of North Texas, studying Political Science. A background in political campaigns, he has managed and won competitive municipal races in DFW, staffed various Congressional and State House campaigns & worked with cannabis law reform orgs. In his free time, Phillip enjoys attending concerts, learning about art & culture, and watching sports.
