State Representatives Carl O. Sherman and Ana-Maria Ramos say Mask up and Stay Safe Texas!
Austin – As part of the Diversity under the Dome initiative, State Representative Carl O. Sherman (D-109) teamed up with State Representative Ana-Maria Ramos (D-102) for a social media message to remind Texans everywhere to mask up and stay safe!
“A vaccination does not relieve us of our duty to continue to follow CDC guidelines regarding social distancing and mask wearing,” Representative Sherman said in the message to Texans.
Representative Sherman and Representative Ramos delivered the message in English and Ramos also translated the message into Spanish to reach a wider audience.
“This message is especially important for communities of color who have been impacted the most,” Ramos said. “Which is why we are here making sure our communities are adequately protected.”
Representatives Sherman and Ramos shared the free Dallas County community hotline number 1-855-IMMUNE9 and reminded homebound seniors of the Save Our Seniors Initiative.
“All school and childcare personnel along with those ages 50 and up are now eligible to be vaccinated,” Sherman added.
